By accessing or using Derekh Learning ("Derekh," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Service

Derekh Learning is an online platform providing educational content about Jewish wisdom, including Torah, philosophy, history, and culture. We offer structured learning paths, bite-sized lessons, and progress tracking tools.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Use content for commercial purposes
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

Third-Party Content and Sefaria API Usage

Derekh Learning utilizes text resources from Sefaria, a free living library of Jewish texts. The following applies to content sourced through Sefaria:

Code License

Sefaria's code is licensed under the GPL-3.0 license. To learn more, visit their GitHub repository.

Text Copyright

Each text available through Sefaria has its own copyright status:

  • Public Domain texts can be reused without restriction
  • Creative Commons licensed texts may require attribution, limit commercial use, or have share-alike requirements
  • Texts without noted license have not yet had their copyright status verified

Each version and language of a text has its own individual license. For detailed licensing information about specific texts, visit Sefaria's Help Center.

Sefaria Trademark Usage

While Sefaria makes their data and code available for reuse, the name "Sefaria" and their logo are under trademark and may not be used without permission. Derekh Learning is powered by Sefaria but is not developed or endorsed by Sefaria.

Note: When accessing texts through Derekh Learning, you are viewing content that may be subject to various copyright licenses. We make every effort to properly attribute sources and respect licensing requirements. Users should refer to individual text licenses for reuse terms.

Payment and Subscriptions

Some features may require payment. By subscribing:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
  • You can cancel anytime through your account settings
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

We reserve the right to change pricing with advance notice.

Derekh Learning is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
